Na manhã desta segunda-feira (11), o governador do Piauí, Rafael Fonteles (PT), divulgou em sua conta do Instagram que a UPL, empresa mundial de soluções agrícolas atuante em mais de 130 países, está interessada em fazer investimentos no estado.
O chefe do Executivo piauiense, que cumpre agenda na Índia, compartilhou um vídeo do presidente global para Assuntos Corporativos da UPL, Sagar Kaushik, destacando pontos acerca da potencial parceria e impressões que teve a partir da reunião realizada.

No post o governador pontuou que a empresa tem interesse em ampliar os negócios que já tem no Brasil e contribuir com a expansão do agro no Piauí.
“Temos muito interesse em uma parceria com a UPL para fortalecer nossa agricultura, estimulando o desenvolvimento econômico regional. No caso da produção de fertilizantes, por exemplo, há muitas possibilidades para novos investidores explorarem a amônia verde que será produzida no Piauí”, escreveu Fonteles em outra publicação.
