A Litucera tinha assinado um contrato emergencial com a Prefeitura de Teresina para continuar a coleta e descarte do lixo. A Justiça anulou o contrato emergencial. A segunda colocada Aurora Serviços reivindicou o serviço, mas a Procuradoria da Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento e urbanismo, responsável pela coleta e tratamento do lixo, emitiu um parecer alegando que a Aurora não está habilitada para o serviço. Faltam documentos para comprovação e qualificação técnica. O risco é a população de Teresina ficar sem coleta de lixo até que se resolva objetivamente essa pendência.
