O TCE-PI expediu recomendação para as prefeituras que reajustaram os valores dos subsídios dos prefeitos, vices e vereadores fora do prazo, de forma irregular ou ilegal. Alguns reajustes foram concedidos de forma diversa da lei, como disse o relatório do TCE-PI. E prefeitos e vereadores de cidades pequenas com cota 0.6 de repasse no FPM, mas que os salários superam R$ 25 mil por mês. O TCE-PI e o MP-PI atuam em conjunto nessa fiscalização e os pagamentos considerados ilegais podem ser suspensos.
