O vice-governador Themístocles Filho (MDB) afirmou, em entrevista à imprensa esta semana, que trabalha para continuar na chapa liderada pelo governador Rafael Fonteles (PT) e tentar a reeleição, em 2026, no entanto, parte de uma declaração feita na oportunidade têm o potencial de causar dúvida quanto a isso.
“Diziam que o Mão Santa era novo, e foi eleito governador do Estado em seis meses; diziam que o Wellington Dias eram um menino, e se elegeu governador do Estado do Piauí em seis meses. Então, a gente tem que ter calma para o momento correto”, afirmou o emedebista.
O jornalista Gustavo Almeida, do portal piauiense Dito Isto, foi astuto e questionou: “O que o senhor quer dizer com isso, que pode surgir alguma surpresa para 2026?”
“Não, eu estou falando do passado. Do futuro eu não sei […]. Pode até prevê, mas a gente não sabe o que vai acontecer no amanhã”, esquivou-se Themístocles.
