Kate Middleton, 42, fez sua primeira aparição pública após confirmar diagnóstico de câncer. Neste sábado (15), ela compareceu ao Desfile de Aniversário do Rei Charles 3º. A princesa confirmou que participaria do evento, ontem, por meio do X (antigo Twitter).
Rei Charles segue a tradição da mãe, a Rainha Elizabeth 2ª. Ela nasceu em 21 de abril de 1926, mas também comemorava o aniversário em um desfile anual realizado em Londres, em junho, o Trooping the Colour — popularmente chamado de Parada de Aniversário do Rei.

O desfile sofreu uma mudança em relação ao ano anterior. Em sua primeira Trooping the Colour, em 2023, Rei Charles seguiu as tropas a cavalo, junto a outros membros da realeza. Agora, Charles chegou acompanhado da Rainha Camilla em uma carruagem. Mudança foi aconselhada pelos médicos do rei, que vem tratando um câncer.
O rei comemorou seu aniversário oficial de 75 anos em novembro de 2023. Ele visitou um centro de distribuição de excedentes de alimentos e organizou uma recepção para enfermeiras e parteiras no Palácio de Buckingham.
