A Polícia Militar do Piauí, por meio da 2ª Companhia Independente de Policiamento Ambiental (CIPA) de Parnaíba, realizou, nesta quarta-feira (19), a apreensão de 51 pássaros mantidos em cativeiro ilegal no bairro Dom Rufino II.

A ação foi desencadeada após uma denúncia anônima que levou as autoridades até a residência onde as aves estavam sendo mantidas. Ao chegarem ao local, as equipes confirmaram a veracidade da informação.
Os pássaros, pertencentes a diversas espécies, foram recolhidos e encaminhados à sede do Ibama em Parnaíba. Um Termo Circunstanciado de Ocorrência (TCO) foi registrado contra o responsável pela posse ilegal dos animais.
