A Polícia Federal inaugurou, nesta sexta-feira (11/4), sua base de atuação no Aeroporto de Teresina – Senador Petrônio Portela, reforçando o compromisso com a segurança pública e o combate ao crime organizado no estado do Piauí.
A nova estrutura conta com plantão 24 horas, garantindo presença constante da Polícia Federal no terminal e atuação imediata em ocorrências relacionadas a crimes federais, como tráfico de drogas, contrabando, imigração ilegal e falsificação de documentos.

Além disso, está sendo implantado o Grupo de Polícia Aeroportuária (GPAER), especializado em ações emergenciais dentro do aeroporto, e instalada a base da Força Integrada de Combate ao Crime Organizado – FICCO Teresina, composta por policiais federais, civis, militares e penais.
O evento contou com a presença de parlamentares, autoridades públicas locais, integrantes do judiciário, além da representantes da imprensa.
