O Ministério da Saúde anunciou a construção de duas novas maternidades no Piauí. Os municípios escolhidos foram Bom Jesus e Piripiri, com obras financiadas pelo Novo Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC) no eixo saúde. Ao todo, serão construídas 36 maternidades em 21 estados, cujo investimento total é de R$ 4,76 bilhões. A pasta projeta que as obras em todo o país vão impactar mais de 26 mulheres e proporcionar até 583 mil atendimentos por ano. O anúncio foi feito nessa quarta-feira (10).
