Alexandre Pereira, de 39 anos, morreu na madrugada deste domingo (17) ao ser atropelado por uma caminhonete S10 no bairro Sambaíba, em Floriano, no Sul do Piauí.

Segundo relatos de testemunhas, o motorista do veículo teria se envolvido em uma discussão com populares da região, por motivos ainda desconhecidos, antes de atropelar a vítima.
O condutor fugiu do local sem prestar socorro e, até o momento, não foi localizado. Equipes da Polícia Militar de Floriano e de Barão do Grajaú, no Maranhão, estão realizando buscas para encontrá-lo.
Alexandre Pereira não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu no local. O corpo foi encaminhado para perícia.
A Polícia Civil do Piauí investiga o caso para determinar se o ocorrido foi um homicídio ou um acidente de trânsito.
