Aprovados serão distribuídos em unidades penitenciárias da capital e do interior
O Governo do Piauí publicou decreto oficializando a nomeação de 200 policiais penais aprovados na 1ª turma do Curso de Formação. Além disso, sete candidatos foram nomeados sub judice por determinação judicial.

O concurso da Polícia Penal, iniciado no ano passado, previa a nomeação dos aprovados já em março deste ano. Ao todo, 400 candidatos foram convocados, sendo 200 contratados de imediato e outros 200 mantidos no cadastro de reserva.
Os novos policiais serão designados para reforçar a segurança nas 16 unidades prisionais administradas pela Secretaria de Justiça (Sejus) no estado. A previsão é que, ainda neste semestre, uma nova penitenciária seja inaugurada no município de Buriti dos Lopes, ampliando a estrutura carcerária do Piauí.
