Gilson Castro terá que devolver R$ 161 mil e perde direitos políticos
A Justiça do Piauí condenou o prefeito de João Costa, Gilson Castro de Assis, por irregularidades na locação de veículos em 2016, durante seu primeiro mandato. A decisão atende a um pedido do Ministério Público do Estado do Piauí (MPPI).

O juiz Ermano Chaves determinou que o gestor devolva R$ 161.500,00, corrigidos com juros, além de suspender seus direitos políticos. A ação foi movida pelo promotor Jorge Pessoa, que apontou ausência de pesquisa de preços, divergências na contratação de veículos e aditivos irregulares.
A sentença concluiu que Gilson Castro cometeu ato de improbidade administrativa, causando prejuízo aos cofres públicos.
